April 14-20th is The Week of the Young Child and National Library Week. The Bolivar Library will be celebrating these events throughout the month of April. During the week of April 22 bring your child to the library to sign up for a library card, then check out a children's book and your child will receive a gift. If your child has a library card come into the library, check out a book and receive a gift, too!!! Reading is one of the most important activities you can share with your child. Studies prove that reading together increases a child's success in school. So make "I geek reading" your motto for the month and visit the library.
National Library week celebrates libraries in our communities. Go to our Facebook page and tell us how the library serves you and our community. Tell us what you like about the library and we will post your name on our "I Geek the Library" wall and then enter your name in a drawing. Check us out on Facebook.

To honor the Town of Bolivar's long history of being an OIL TOWN, the Library is proud to offer our community members the chance to become part of that history by donating to our MEMORIAL OIL DERRICK FUND. This fund is part of our general operating fund that allows us to purchase books, pay for programs and purchase high tech equipment like laptops, printers and other items to help the public.
Call the Library about making a donation! With your donation....You can have a plaque placed on our OIL DERRICK / Oil Jack/ Oil Barrel or Oil drop....
