Library Card Policy
To get a new card from the Bolivar Free Library you need:
(adults 18 and over)
- 1 form of identification which includes age and current address
- 1st card is free, replacement is $5.00
- Must have card to check out items including computer usage
- Must not have an account with any other library in the Souther Tier Library System (you can use other system cards at all system libraries)
- New accounts (up to 3 months) are allowed 2 adult books and / or 2 children's books
- New accounts (up to 3 months) are allowed 1 DVD per card / 2 per household
(Children 17 and younger)
- Must have parent / guardian permission
- if application is taken home, we may need phone number to verify parental permission

APPLICATIONS TAKE 1 BUSINESS DAY TO COMPLETE - YOUR CARD WIL BE READY THE NEXT DAY WE ARE OPEN.

Books from the system and other loaning libraries will have their own set due dates on items that are borrowed from them.
If you get a fine at any Library in the Southern Tier Library Sytem ...it will be on your account wherever you go in the system.
